Castlecool offer a wide and diverse range of services to its many customers. Whether its storage of a few pallets to complete just-in-time supply chain management, we have the capabilties to adapt and suit the required needs of our clients. Below is a list of the services we offer and a brief description of each:
- Multi Temperature Services:
- Temperature Controlled Storage - Temperature controlled stroage is Castlecools speciality. We can offer customers secure storage facilities that from ambient, chill, deep chill or cold. Our stores are capable of storing single cases or full pallets and we have the capacity for any quantity.
- Cross Docking - Cross docking is the process where stock received into the warehouse is not put away, but readied for further delivery on another shipment. For example, products from around the country can be delivered to Castlecool, sorted on the loading bay, or in our temperature controlled stores, into different consignments and loaded onto different containers for further delivery.
- Value Added Services:
- Order Picking - Order Picking is one of Castlecools many value added services. This process sees the picking and packing of individuals orders of any quantity. We can handle any quantity of individual, specially prepared orders a customer requires.
- Blast Freezing - Blast freezing is the process where fresh product is frozen rapidly in specially adapted rooms at -35°c. This process ensures the product maintains quality and reaches the optimal frozen temperature as quickly as possible.
- Tempering - Tempering is the controlled thawing of frozen product. Castlecool Castleblayney has tempering facilities that can take product at -18°c and bring it to 0°c in 24hr. The tempering facility in Castlecool Castleblayney can handle any customer requirements and products are sorted onto racks to speed the process and ensure efficiency.
- Quality Control - Many of our customers demand a high level of quality from their suppliers. With our laboratory partner on site, Castlecool can provide quality and food testing to suit a customers needs.
- Brokerage - Brokerage is the arrangement of business transactions for a commission. One area of brokerage that Castlecool are active in is product brokerage. We act as the middleman between some clients and their customers, buying product one behalf of our client, storing it and selling it to their customers with a small commission.
- Back Office Support - Many of our customers require back office services to reduce their in-house costs. Castlecool can provide a number of value added services such as direct invoicing, telesales and ordermanagement and tailor each service to suit the needs of the customer.
- Space Rental - A number of our customers require the rental of storage space that they manage themselves. Castlecool can provide customers with storage space, forklifts and other necessary materials as well as training and access to warehouse management solutions.
- Local & International Distribution - Castlecool have a number of experienced and mutli discplined distribution partners giving us the ability to adapt and tailor our transport offerings to the customers needs. Whether it’s next day delivery over the island of Ireland, or a pallet service to UK and Europe, we have a solution to suit whatever a customer requires.
