Paul Shortt does not say ‘it is not enough to succeed, others must fail’. But if he did, you’d understand it.

The 62 year old founder of Castlecool, the country’s largest independent temperature controlled and logistics company, didn’t start out to be an entrepreneur.

International distribution and logistics specialist Castlecool has announced the second phase of its Food and Business Park development at Lough Egish, Co Monaghan. Ideally located to service the needs of Ireland’s resurgent food and beverage industries, the 62 acre Castlecool Food and Business Park is already home to a variety of national and international brands including Rangeland Meats, Swift Fine Foods, Malone Meats, ASM Feeds, Olhausen Meats, Cassidys and Vion McGees Foods.

Catherine Conaghan keeps her cool in an energy role

Castlecool, Ireland’s largest independent temperature control and logistics firm is pleased to announce that its energy management and development engineer, Catherine Conaghan has been recognised as one of Ireland’s top graduate employees.
 
Originally from Ballina in county Mayo, Catherine is one of eight graduate employees in the country to have been shortlisted for ‘Graduate Employee of the Year’ at the GradIreland Awards. These awards took place recently in The Mansion House in Dublin.

Castlecool recieves Services Award at SFA National Small Business Awards

Ireland's largest independent Temperature Control and Logistics company, Castlecool has won a Deloitte Best Managed Companies award 2010, placing it as one of the top 20 companies in the country. Internationally recognised, this award is a symbol of excellence for outstanding business performance by a private Irish company on the island of Ireland.

Castlecools' operations are in Louth and Monaghan at three sites, Dundalk, Castleblayney and Lough Egish.
